  1. Aspyn practically got a job given to her on twitter - hopefully - these kids will also get their college paid for by doing the show - notoriety doesn't hurt. Do you think Kody has college funds?

  2. No, I do not think Kody had anything set aside for the kid's college education. He can not even provide for his family w/o help of TLC. I mean, where is the money coming from....none of the wives are working now except for learning the real estate business and maybe they are getting a small stipend from that. I am surprised that they ave not put the older kids to work.

But, I am happy that the older kids have ambitions and want to go to college....they will qualify for scholarships as long as they keep up good grades and put in for whatever they may have the qualifications for. They are smart kids and with a public education, if they study hard they will make it. I think they want out of their situation more than we think.

These kids will do great and set an example for the rest of the kids if they are allowed to follow their dreams.

  3. Madison is prideful and worldly. She has a lot of growing up to do.

  5. Madison is also the youngest of these four. I think she just hasn't grown into the sensibility that they have.

Having taught high school, the fact that these kids think beyond lunch period is a great sign.Their plans may change--and that's okay--but the important thing for them is that they do have plans and dreams.

The older ones that are clsoer to graduating need something more concrete in mind though, and it sounds like they do.

    I think they'll be okay.

  7. Thanks for posting these new videos!

Bless Madison's heart-- I hope she finds what she is looking for.

  8. Sunday night is almost here!
i hate that they are putting these kids on the spot. God forbid something I said at 17.

  9. I think all the kids will get funding VIA the show in some capacity. If not, their parents haven't made plenty. And, they can get good old student loans like the rest of us. Let's look in 6 years and see how many actually finish college - and not get married.

  10. That didn't sound too planned out! Why do i get the feeling the parents say it, but really don't care if they go to college? Esp Christine.

  11. I think someone will offer to pay for the college - that's what they are hinting for, anyway. This family loves freebies. Logan needs to go far away - and get out. I look for Mariah, Logan, and the Christine's dtr. (I always get hers and her sisters names messed up - is it Aspyn?) to go into polygamy, and be the first married.

  12. I think it's awful to put these teens on a show- there are so many of them, you know more have been hurt by doing it than Hunter.

  13. Firefly, in regards to Aspyn, Christine's daughter, she has said at least twice on the show she doesn't see herself living a polygamist lifestyle. She doesn't seem as outspoken about it as Madison, so it may change, but for right now, she says she doesn't want to.

I can see Mariah following in her parents' footsteps more than any of the others. I just hope she does get an education and a good, solid means of supporting her self first.

Logan I can see going either way. I don't think he's ever said on the show what he thinks about it and Oprah he gave a neutral--probably coached--response. I don't see him as tied to polygamy as many of you do, but I do think he could stick with the lifestyle. If he does, I hope he at least doesn't end up like his father.

Madison just wants to get the heck out of Dodge.

  14. These kids have a lot on their plate, that's for sure.

  15. Madison's comment about going into business because she is all about the money is typical of children raised in "poorer" families.

It is nice to see that they have dreams, but at their ages (16 and 17) it is typical for teens who actually end up graduating from, post-secondary education to have more well-developed plans.

However, there are exceptions to every rule and I hope that these kids end up with educations that will help them make their way in the world.
